Full night of basketball tonight at Bloomingdale. The boys and girls both won against Mendon, girls 50-25, and the boys 66-53. We also honored our seniors for senior night, crowned a king and queen for winterfest, and Tyler Starbuck was presented with his 1000 point basketball. Was happy to see everyone at the game tonight. GO CARDINALS!

Last week Kallie Harrison surpassed the 1000 point mark for her high school basketball career. She joins Britny Adams, Kim Greene, and Kim Remington as the only girls in school history to reach this mark. She will look to add to her total this Friday as the Lady Cardinals travel to Decatur to take on the Raiders. Go Cardinals!

Attention parents and students: Gators are not acceptable face coverings. We will no longer be able to allow students to wear them. If you need a face mask, we have them available at each building. Sorry about the confusion and the change.

As winter sports start up here are a few reminders for everyone: 1. Each athlete and coach will get two tickets to each game. 2. Dear MHSAA Community, Governor Whitmer’s press conference this morning included brand new information for the MHSAA and member schools relative to winter contact sports. We did not anticipate this delay in winter contact practices and competition, and today’s announcement has created many new questions. That being said, we are currently working to obtain further information on the MDHHS order. There are no changes to current winter sports practices in basketball, competitive cheer, ice hockey and wrestling as those activities can continue with no physical contact, using social distancing and face masks. The same is true for fall and spring sport 4-player workouts being able to continue now. The Representative Council and our staff will be using the next few days to gather all information and discuss current options. Know that the MHSAA remains FULLY committed to winter and spring sport seasons as this latest set of hurdles will require continued creativity in finding the way for both remaining seasons to be played. Further information with updated details will reach you early next week.
