Welcome to Pullman Elementary School!

Principal Mortensen

My name is Amber Mortensen, and I am privileged to serve as the principal of Pullman Elementary. I am deeply committed to building strong and meaningful partnerships with our students, families, staff, and community, founded on trust, respect, and collaboration. At Pullman Elementary, we strive to create a safe and welcoming environment where every child is encouraged to grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

With over 15 years of experience in education, I am passionate about supporting student success and fostering a love of learning. I hold a Master of Science in Educational Leadership, a Master of Arts in the Practice of Teaching with a focus on early childhood education, and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. My career has included 14 years as a preschool and 3rd-grade teacher, followed by one and a half years as the assistant principal at South Walnut Elementary in Bangor. On January 22, 2024, I was honored to step into the role of principal at Pullman Elementary, where I am dedicated to creating a positive and enriching learning experience for every student.

I believe that when students, teachers, and families feel welcomed and valued, they are inspired to learn and grow. By fostering a positive, engaging, and nurturing school culture, we can meet the challenges of academic excellence together. I look forward to partnering with you to make Pullman Elementary a place where all students thrive!
