Welcome to Bloomingdale Elementary, where we are committed to excellence in education and the success of every student. It is my privilege to serve as principal and to be part of a school community that is dedicated to fostering a positive and enriching learning environment.

With over 30 years in education, I bring a deep passion for student growth and achievement. I earned my bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Western Michigan University, followed by a master’s degree in educational leadership. Additionally, I hold an educational specialist degree in superintendency from Grand Valley State University. My career has been a fulfilling journey, including nine years as an elementary teacher and 21 years as an elementary principal. Beyond the classroom, I have also had the opportunity to coach at the middle school, junior varsity, and varsity levels—experiences that have strengthened my commitment to teamwork, perseverance, and leadership.

At Bloomingdale Elementary, we believe that strong partnerships between students, staff, and families create the foundation for success. Together, we will continue to inspire curiosity, build confidence, and prepare our students for a bright future. I look forward to working alongside our dedicated staff and families to ensure that each child thrives academically, socially, and emotionally.
