Tonight, May 19th at 6:00 p.m. in our MSHS auditorium, our MSHS Counselor, Social Worker, and SRO will be presenting a health and safety presentation. This presentation will discuss topics including social/emotional well-being, addiction, and more. Specifically, they will be discussing warning signs, the importance of early intervention, and the potential legal implications of the aforementioned topics. Community resources and handouts will be discussed and distributed throughout the presentation. All parents and students are invited to attend.

Hoy, nos informaron de una posible amenaza externa en el área de Bloomingdale. Por precaución, todas las escuelas de Bloomingdale fueron puestas en un cierre suave. Las clases continuaron con normalidad; sin embargo, a los estudiantes no se les permitió salir durante el cierre suave para limitar cualquier posible amenaza externa. Nuestro SRO junto con agentes adicionales patrullaron el área. Una vez que se dio el visto bueno, se levantó el bloqueo suave. En ningún momento los estudiantes o el personal estuvieron en peligro. La seguridad de los estudiantes y el personal es una prioridad principal en las Escuelas Públicas de Bloomingdale. #Bdalecards

Today, we were informed of a potential outside threat in the Bloomingdale area. Out of an abundance of caution, all Bloomingdale schools were placed in a soft lockdown. Classes continued as normal; however, students were not allowed outside during the soft lockdown to limit any potential outside threat. Our SRO along with additional deputies patrolled the area. Once the all-clear was given the soft locked-down was lifted. At no time were students or staff in any danger. Student and staff safety is a top priority at Bloomingdale Public Schools. #Bdalecards

Reminder that this week is Spring Fling! Tomorrow’s dress up day is Jersey Day/Sports Team Day! Students wear your favorite sport team appeal such as hats, jerseys, shirts, etc. All attire must be school appropriate and meet the student code of conduct. ¡Recordatorio de que esta semana es Spring Fling! ¡El día de disfraces de mañana es el Día de Jersey/Día del Equipo Deportivo!
