Bloomingdale Public Schools staff recently came together for a day of professional learning focused on strengthening the district’s Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and Child Study process.
K-12 staff worked collaboratively through realistic student case studies, using a consistent problem-solving process to identify concerns, develop intervention plans, set measurable goals, and determine how student progress will be monitored.
The goal of this work is to create greater consistency across the district in how staff respond when students need additional support. By working through the same process together, staff are continuing to strengthen how concerns are identified, interventions are selected, progress is reviewed, and next steps are determined.
This professional learning is part of Bloomingdale Public Schools’ ongoing effort to strengthen MTSS across all buildings and ensure students receive timely, intentional, and effective support when they need it.
