Bloomingdale band students had an exciting opportunity Saturday to experience college game day from the field as they participated in Western Michigan University’s 2026 High School Band Day.
More than 300 high school musicians from schools across the area joined the Bronco Marching Band for a full day of music, marching, and college football traditions at Waldo Stadium.
Students rehearsed with the Bronco Marching Band, marched to the stadium, played in the stands throughout the game, and took the field at halftime to perform alongside the BMB.
This year’s halftime show celebrated the 50th anniversary of Boston’s self-titled debut album and featured music including “More Than a Feeling” and “Don’t Look Back.”
For our Bloomingdale students, Band Day offered a firsthand look at the college marching band experience while giving them the chance to perform alongside hundreds of fellow musicians in front of a stadium crowd.
