Bloomingdale Public Schools joined in the fun at this year’s Paw Paw Wine & Harvest Festival by entering a team in the festival’s Grape Stomping Competition.
Competing in the Stomp for Charity category, the BPS “Cardinal Crushers” went up against teams from across Southwest Michigan and as far away as Chicago.
The Cardinal Crushers put on an impressive performance, stomping out more than 48 pounds of grape juice in just two minutes — enough to earn a third-place finish!
Representing Bloomingdale Public Schools were Kayla Mete, MS/HS teacher; Theresa Gleason, Multilingual Coordinator and Migrant Teacher; Brittany Hosier, Operations Administrative Assistant; BrieLynn Sturm, Occupational Therapist; and Superintendent Rick Reo.
Congratulations to the Cardinal Crushers on a great showing and for representing BPS with plenty of Cardinal spirit at one of Southwest Michigan’s favorite community festivals!
