educators award

On the evening of March 10, the Van Buren County ISD hosted the annual Educational Hero Awards ceremony at the VBISD Conference Center, celebrating outstanding educators and school leaders from across the county. Each of the eleven local school districts selected two honorees, along with two recipients chosen by the ISD. The event brought together district leaders, colleagues, family members, and community supporters to recognize the meaningful contributions educators make in the lives of students.

Representing Bloomingdale Public Schools, this year’s honorees were Nikki Meloche, Assistant Principal and Strive Academy Director at Bloomingdale Middle/High School, and Deb Rodgers, teacher at Bloomingdale Middle/High School. Superintendent Reo had the honor of presenting their awards, recognizing their dedication, leadership, and lasting impact on the Bloomingdale community.
