Bloomingdale Elementary students recently participated in an ice skating field trip sponsored by the Bloomingdale Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO). Through this sponsorship, the PTO fully funded transportation, rink rental, and skate rental, allowing all elementary students to attend at no cost to families.
The field trip provided students with an opportunity to engage in a shared experience outside the classroom while building confidence, coordination, and social connections. Students across all elementary grade levels took part, with many experiencing ice skating for the first time in a supportive and encouraging environment.
By covering all associated costs, the PTO ensured equitable access for all elementary students to participate. This experience reflects the PTOâs continued commitment to enhancing educational opportunities and creating meaningful experiences beyond the classroom. By supporting inclusive, schoolwide activities such as this field trip, the PTO helps foster student engagement, strengthen community connections, and expand access to enriching experiences for all learners.
