Bloomingdale School Board Seeks Input in Superintendent Search The Bloomingdale Schools Board of Education has begun the search process to find a new superintendent. Assisting the Board is the Michigan Association of School Boards (MASB), a service organization that supports the work of school boards throughout Michigan. As the profile of the ideal candidate is developed, the board is soliciting community and staff input. Residents of the district, all staff and administration are encouraged to participate in the process. An online survey is available on the district's website at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/bdalesearch Survey responses are sent directly to MASB in Lansing for tabulation. The Board will publicly consider the input received and develop a Candidate Profile, which will guide the process as candidates are recruited and selected for public interview. The board expects to select the new superintendent to begin in September 2024.

For all students who will need bus transportation for the 2024-2025 school year, please complete the Bloomingdale Transportation Request form. On August 6, 2024, voters will be asked to approve the District’s Operating Millage. This Non-Homestead Millage has ZERO tax impact for primary residents. This is not a new tax, only a renewal to maintain the maximum millage of 18 mills. In order for the district to receive its full per pupil foundation allowance from the state, the District must levy 18 mills on non-homestead properties. The millage to be collected applies only to businesses, commerical property, vacation homes, and rental homes. For more information, www.bdalecards.com and click on Millage.

Parents must complete the form and students will bring it with them to the physical. If you don't complete the form prior to the physical, parents must accompany their child to the physical to complete the form. All athletes need an updated sports physical on file in the athletic office to play sports next year.
